Quick-Release attachment for powsurf leash

$11.95

Our quick-release mechanism combines with any of our leashes to give you an added layer of safety. Giving you the ability to quickly release your leash from your body in the event of an avalanche or a violent crash. When the rider falls or is taken for a ride in an avalanche there is always possibility that he or she could become tangled in the leash. This could lead to damage to limbs or even strangulation. We take safety extremely seriously and we are happy to offer this accessory to help keep riders as safe as possible while powsurfing.

Description

Our quick-release mechanism combines with any of our leashes to give you an added layer of safety.  Being tethered to aleash is the most dangerous part of powsurfing but also a crucial need to keep from losing your powsurfer down the mountain on a fall. Riders can become tangled in the leash in a bad fall or much worse, in an avalanche.  This tangle could lead to loss of limbs or strangulation. Our quick-release mechanism allows the rider to pull the emergency cord to quickly release the leash to prevent this and give you more of a fighting chance in a slide.

Often when the rider falls in steep and aggressive terrain the board has the possibility of sticking into the snow or getting caught up in trees and the rider can end up dangling by the leash, unable to remove the leash or climb up to the board (this has happened to us countless times). The quick-release mechanism can be pulled in this instance and you are released from the leash.
